Balenzia opens store in Lucknow airport

 Sock brand Balenzia has opened its 16th brick-and-mortar store to date in Lucknow International Airport’s Terminal 2. The exclusive brand outlet is Balenzia’s first airport store in Uttar Pradesh and bolsters its retail presence in the region. 

“We are excited to bring Balenzia’s first airport store to Uttar Pradesh, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about this expansion,” said Balenzia’s head of strategy Shruti Gupta in a press release on July 26. “Lucknow Airport serves as a vital hub for travellers and it is the perfect location to showcase our premium products to a diverse audience. We are confident that the premium offerings at our store will resonate with the discerning travellers passing through this airport.”
 
The new store houses Balenzia’s selection of brightly coloured and themed socks. The brand retails a wide selection of television and movie character based socks with its license partners which include Friends, Disney, Harry Potter, and Marvel among others. 

“This strategic move to establish a presence at Lucknow Airport aligns with our vision of making our products accessible to customers on the go,” said Gupta. “As the brand’s first airport store in Uttar Pradesh, it represents a significant step in our growth journey and will provide an opportunity to introduce our premium merchandise to a new and diverse customer base.”
 
Balenzia retails through its direct to customer e-commerce store and outlets in a mix of malls and airports in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Surat, and Ludhiana. The brand plans to expand with an omni-channel strategy and also retails on multi-brand e-commerce platforms including Amazon, Myntra, Ajio, Tata Cliq, and Nykaa among others.
