Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd reported a 36 rise in net profit to Rs 46 crore ($5.7 million) for the first quarter ended June 30, as against Rs 34 crore in the year-ago period.

The company’s revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 266 crore, as against Rs 247 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Bajaj Consumer’s total expenses during the quarter stood at Rs 225 crore as compared to Rs 215 crore a year ago.

“Coconut and Amla portfolio continue to scale up as planned with increase in market share year-on-year and sequential basis respectively. International business registered strong growth in Q1FY24, scale up continues as per plan,” the company said in a statement.

During the quarter, the company launched a new brand ‘Bajaj 100 Pure Henna’ as part of its traditional range and plans to launch more products in subsequent quarters.

Bajaj Consumer Care, a part of the Bajaj Group is one of the leading players in the hair oil and beauty care categories in India.
