Alkem expands hyperpigmentation solutions offering with Kojiglo serum launch

Skincare and medicines business Alkem Laboratories Limited has expanded its product offering in the Indian market with the launch of its ‘Kojiglo’ serum. Designed to address and treat facial hyperpigmentation, Alkem’s new serum is part of its plan to increase its market share in the skincare segment.

“The prevalence of skin hyperpigmentation among Indian population is quite high and awareness about managing this condition is gradually increasing,” said Alkem’s chief executive officer Vikas Gupta in a press release. “We are pleased to introduce an advanced serum designed to effectively address hyperpigmentation concerns. At Alkem, we remain committed to providing quality skincare options that meet the evolving needs of patients.”

Alkem’s Kojiglo serum is suitable for all skin types and its ingredients include liposomal azelaic acid, liposomal 4-butyl resorcinol, tranexamic acid, alpha arbutin, and niacinamide. The business has announced that it is the first Indian enterprise to introduce a liposomal serum with ‘Duo-Lipo’ technology. 

Alkem Laboratories Limited has a business history of 50 years and specialises in medicines and pharmaceuticals. The business counts 19 manufacturing facilities and research and development centres across India and the US and has a presence in the US, Latin America, Australia, and a number of Asian countries.
