Aldo opens 61st India store in Kochi

Canadian footwear brand Aldo added to its brick-and-mortar presence in Kerala by opening its 61st Indian store to date in Kochi. Located in the city’s Forum Mall, the store houses Aldo’s full selection of men’s and women’s footwear and bags.

“We are delighted to announce the opening of Aldo’s newest store in Forum Mall Kochi,” wrote Apparel Group India Private Limited in a Linkedin post. “This is the brand’s… 61st in India.”
 
The new store retails a wide selection of formal footwear such as men’s dress shoes and women’s high heels as well as more casual options including slip on sandals and smart casual sneakers. Aldo joins brands including Adidas and Marks and Spencer in the mall, according to Forum Kochi’s Facebook page.

Kochi’s Forum Mall opened its doors to the public with an inauguration ceremony on August 19. The mall is promoted by realty business Prestige Group and is located on a 10 acre land parcel with a total retail space of 6.47 lakh square feet. 
 
Aldo’s other two stores in the state of Kerala are located in Edappally’s Lulu Mall in Kochi, which it opened in 2020, and in Calicut’s Hilite Mall, India Retailing reported. Aldo retails in India with its partner Apparel Group India and first debuted in the country in 2005 with a store in Mumbai’s Phoenix High Street. 
 
Entrepreneur Aldo Bensadoun launched Aldo in Canada in 1972 and the brand now retails across the globe in approximately 100 countries. The business is headquartered in Montreal, Canada, and counts close to 3,000 global exclusive brand outlets.
