Designer duo David Abraham and Rakesh Thakore will showcase their latest collection, ‘Body Language’ on day two, which is the Sustainable Fashion Day at the upcoming edition of Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI).
The collection will feature a fusion of playful typography crafted through various techniques such as ikat, ajrakh, brocades, badla, sequin, and fine laser cut work.
Commenting on the show, Rakesh Thakore in a statement said, “We are excited to be showcasing this season at Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. We believe in the power of playfulness and once again, have taken classic silhouettes and created a seamless blend of the formal and the casual by dressing them in wit and whimsy.”
David Abraham added, “This collection is a celebration of the timeless art of communication through fashion. We hope it starts a much-needed conversation and transcends the limitations of words.”
The upcoming edition of the Lakme Fashion Week organised by Lakmé, Fashion Design Council of India, and Reliance Brands Ltd will open with a grand show on October 10 at New Delhi and conclude with its grand finale by the ‘House of Lakme’ on October 15.
