AK|OK Anamika Khanna launches collection with Banita Sandhu

Designer Anamika Khanna has launched a new fusion style, limited edition collection for her label AK|OK, mixing traditional techniques with modern silhouettes. Khanna also partnered with actress Banita Sandhu, who stars in the womenswear line’s campaign. 

“This line is about embracing imperfection and celebrating the contradictions that define us,” said Anamika Khanna in a press release. “It’s about creating designs that allow women to confidently interpret fashion in their own way. Banita embodies the spirit of this collection- fearless, authentic, and unapologetically herself.”

Inspired by freedom, individuality, and self expression, AK|OK Anamika Khanna’s new collection contrasts tailoring with deconstruction and colourful looks with monochrome and neutral toned ensembles. Khanna uses heritage craft techniques including zari embroidery and lacework with textiles including velvet, denim, and silk to add a variety of textures. 

Notable looks in the collection include a patchwork style mini dress and matching blazer and tactile mini skirts. Sandhu wears the collection in a dynamic new campaign, the fusion style outfits styled with dramatic makeup and slicked-back hair. 

AK|OK Anamika Khanna retails from its direct to customer e-commerce store and with a selection of premium multi-brand boutiques including Ogaan and Ensemble India. The brand’s flagship store is located in Palladium Mumbai and along with AK|OK, Anamika Khanna also runs her eponymous luxury clothing brand.
