Kewal Kiran Clothing Q4 net profit rises 20 percent to Rs 38 crore

Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd reported a 20 percent increase in net profit to Rs 38 crore ($4.6 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 31 crore in the year ago quarter.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 10 percent to Rs 219 crore, as against Rs 199 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

For the full financial year, Kewal Kiran reported a net profit of Rs 154 crore with a revenue of Rs 860 crore.

Commenting on the results, Kewalchand P Jain, chairman managing director of KKCL in a statement said, “The revenue growth backed with strong growth in EBITDA margins is primarily on account of efficiencies due to increase in scale of operations. The performance is reflective of our substantial brand equity among consumers and the strength of the company’s brands to connect with consumers in providing an unparalleled fashion experience.”

“With a well-defined growth strategy, backed by impeccable product design and new categories across gender and age, we believe we are well positioned to capitalise on the growth opportunity reinforcing a long-term vision of pursuing robust and profitable sales growth,” he added.
