Tata Group-owned Trent Limited reported a multi-fold increase in net profit to Rs 712 crore ($85.3 million)for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 45 crore in the year-ago period.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 51 percent to Rs 3,298 crore, as against Rs 2,183 crore in same quarter last fiscal.
During the quarter, Trent expanded its retail presence by opening 12 new Westside stores and 86 new Zudio stores.
Commenting on the results, Noel N Tata, chairman of Trent Limited in a statement said, “In a competitive market, we continue to experience resonance and customer traction for our lifestyle offerings across brands, concepts, categories, and channels. The growing of our offerings, resilience of our business model choices and the strength of our platform are reflected in our business results.”
“We will continue to expand and deepen store presence with the aim of being ever closer and convenient to customers reinforcing our brand promise,” he added.
As of March 31, 2024, Trent’s store portfolio comprised 232 Westside outlets, 545 Zudio outlets, and 34 stores across other lifestyle concepts.
