Womenswear brand Rareism plans to open 100 brick-and-mortar stores in the coming two years to reach more shoppers across India. The brand also plans to expand its product offering to foray into footwear and accessories.
“We’re proud to be a homegrown brand in women’s western fashion, and with consistent innovation and effort, the plan is to become one of the leaders in this niche across India,” said Rareism’s founder Akshika Poddar, ET Retail reported.
Rareism currently counts 30 exclusive brand outlets following the opening of its 30th India store in Hyderabad recently. The brand plans to continue to look to big cities for brick-and-mortar expansion as well as foray into Tier 2 towns to cater to the rising non-metro demand for branded apparel and western wear.
Rareism recently launched its summer collection ‘Summer O’Clock’ which is a resort style medley of breezy dresses and botanical prints, the brand announced on Facebook. Rareism also has a menswear line and soon plans to launch footwear and fashion accessories to provide a comprehensive wardrobe solution.
Akshika Poddar launched Rareism in 2016 as a subsidiary of Radhamani Textiles. The brand reported 2.5 fold growth in the 2023 financial year and expects to see a similar growth rate moving forward.
