“Happy to announce the launch of our first two Rangita retail stores, both in coastal Andhra (Gajuwaka and Kakinada),” announced Ace Vector Group and Snapdeal CEO Himanshu Chakrawarti on Linkedin on February 19. “Rangita is a design led and quality focused ethnic wear brand that offers a premium experience at delightful value pricing. Our ode to the modern Indian woman who wants high quality, great designs in a premium shopping ambience…. at prices that she finds delightfully affordable! Rangita is one of the leading brands from our house of brands company Stellaro.”

The new Rangita store in Kakinada is located in the city’s SRMT Mall and Multiplex, Rangita announced on Facebook. The outlet opened with an elaborate floral decoration and has a large segment dedicated to sarees as well as ready made kurta sets and accessories.

The Gajuwaka store is located in Vizag on the second floor of CMR Central. The store offers women’s ethnic wear styles priced from Rs 399.

The business chose South India for its offline debut as the region has strong ethnic wear demand even in winter, Chakrawarti told ET Retail. “For the value market in India on a per capita basis, South is two to three times higher than other parts of the country,” said Chakrawarti.
