Global footwear brand Skechers has opened its first National Distribution Center (NDC) in the country in Palava City near Dombivli in Maharashtra.
The newly built 650-square-meter facility will ship around 60,000 pairs per day to its extensive nationwide retail network in India and will interface with its direct-to-consumer channel.
Skechers plans to expand its NDC to 1,000 square meters in the coming two years, increasing its capacity from 4 million pairs presently to 7 million pairs annually.
Commenting on the launch, David Weinberg, chief operating officer of Skechers in a statement said, “The establishment of the Skechers National Distribution Center stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment and confidence in the Indian market. Through strategic infrastructure development, expanded product offerings, and engaging local campaigns featuring Bollywood icons, athletes, and influencers, we have successfully connected with a growing consumer base.”

Skechers retails in India through its e-commerce website, retail stores as well as at third-party retailers across the country.
