Coffee and green tea themed personal care brand MCaffeine has reported 300% growth in its offline retail operations over the past six months. Planning to continue to focus on the brick-and-mortar market to fuel growth, the business is eyeing profitability in the segment in the final quarter of the current fiscal year.
“In the last six months, our business has grown 300% in the offline space,” MCaffeine’s CEO and co-founder Suman Kumar told ET Retail. “We went deeper into the markets where we are present. We increased our shelf share, store share, and market share in these markets. We leveraged upon online consumption data and repeat customer data online to penetrate deeper into these micro markets. In Q4, we are eyeing to turn profitable in the offline space as well.”
The business currently reports double digit profitability for the online portion of its operations. At present, orders from brick-and-mortar retail outlets contribute approximately 30% of MCaffeine’s total sales. In the fourth and final quarter of the 2024 financial year, the business expects to see this rise to 34%, the Economic Times reported.
MCaffeine’s core product line is its skincare range and it had recently expanded into the cosmetics market with products such as concealers and lipsticks, the brand announced on Facebook. Although this nascent product category currently makes up just 2% of its total sales, MCaffeine expects this to rise to 10% by the end of the 2025 financial year.
