Multi-brand luxury fashion boutique Amethyst will launch a festive showcase for fine jewellery brand Amrapali Jewels in Chennai on November 1. The business-to-customer showcase will run until November 4 and will present the Jaipur-based brand’s festive Jadau collection to the city’s shoppers.
The showcase will focus on colourful Jadau jewellery made from rare gemstones using traditional Indian craft techniques, Amethyst announced in a press release. The event will take place at Amethyst’s boutique at Royapettah on Whites Road.
Amrapali Jewels’ latest collection of gold festive jewellery features statement drop earrings with matching chokers, necklaces which mix pearls with gemstones, and raw gemstone bead necklaces among other designs. The collection is priced from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 60 lakh.
“Amrapali Jaipur is a celebration of the timeless Indian art of adornment and authentic master craftsmanship,” announced the brand in a press release. “Breathing new life into centuries-old traditions of jeweller, Amrapali embodies a unique, bold and eclectic style. Like the legend of its namesake, a renowned courtesan of ancient India, Amrapali Jaipur is the expression of a mysterious, eternal world of delight.”
Amrapali Jewels was established in 1978 in Rajasthan and celebrates heritage craft traditions through its jewellery. The brand also runs Tribe Amrapali, which focuses on ethnic and tribal designs, often made from silver.
