Traditional and occasion wear brand Manyavar- Mohey has opened a new store in Chennai to bring its city-wide store total to seven. The new exclusive brand outlet is located on the first floor of the Tamil Nadu capital’s Express Avenue Mall.
“This is our seventh store in Chennai and our latest collection is a one-stop destination for brides, grooms, families and even kids,” said the brand’s Chennai franchise owner Vineet Jain in a press release. “We have introduced a new interior concept at our latest store with more of a grand, festive and wedding look. When our customers walk in, they get a feel of their wedding day.”
The store opened its doors to the public with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by special guest Nawabzada Mohammed Asif Ali, the Dewan to the Prince of Arcot. The launch was also attended by Manyavar-Mohey’s Chennai franchise owners Gaurav Jain and Vineet Jain. The store has segments for men, women, and children which a selection of festive and wedding wear as well as accessories.
Manyavar launched in 1999 as a men’s traditional and celebration wear brand before launching Mohey as a celebration wear label for women in 2016. The brand now has a retail presence in over 200 Indian cities and can also be purchased internationally. The business acquired family apparel brand Mebaz in 2017 and describes itself as, “the largest brand in India in the men’s Indian wedding and celebration wear segment in terms of revenue.”
