Apparel Group India targets expanding brands into Tier 2 cities for growth

Retail giant Apparel Group India Private Limited plans to tap into India’s regional markets and open stores for its fashion and lifestyle brands in Tier 2 locations. The business will focus on expanding into six cities: Udaipur, Ranchi, Kozhikode, Kanpur, Udupi, and Mangaluru.

“Apparel Group India’s expansion in these cities is a testament to our commitment to meet the evolving needs and aspirations of our customers,” said Apparel Group India Private Limited’s president Tushar Ved in a press release. “The Tier II cities are experiencing a surge in brand consciousness, influenced by the power of social media and increasing media exposure, as well as the availability of quality retail spaces. They represent an exciting opportunity for growth, and we are eager to bring the latest trends to their doorstep.”
 
The move is in line with Apparel Group India’s goal to make international brands accessible to consumers across India. Seeing Tier 2 markets as the next frontier for growth, the business plans to open engaging, modern stores in these cities.

Apparel Group India retails a wide range of international fashion and lifestyle brands in India including Aldo, Inglot, Victoria’s Secret, Charles & Keith, R&B, Bath & Body Works, Beverly Hills Polo Club, La Vie En Rose, and Daiso Japan among others. The business is based in Dubai and operates over 2,025 retail outlets for over 80 brands and has a workforce of over 20,000 employees.
