The Moms Co’s ‘Mompreneurs Show’ announces new partnerships to support entrepreneurs

Mother and baby personal care brand The Moms Co has announced new partners for its entrepreneur support platform ‘The Mompreneurs Show’ including the Indian government’s nodal body to support startups Startup India. The move is designed to empower more mothers to realise their business goals. 

Each new partnership with The Mompreneurs Show will add expertise and resources and will offer skill building, mentorship, and investment to mothers running a small business, The Moms Co announced in a press release on September 6. Partner Startup India has pledged to offer branding help to its top 10 ‘mompreneur’ startups through social media posts and newsletters, co-author a write-up on ‘The Landscape of Mompreneurs in India’, and provide guidance to startups. 
 
 “There are more than 15 million women led businesses in India,” said Good Glamm Group co-founder and The Good Community CEO Naiyya Saggi in a press release. “The Honourable Prime Minister has himself emphasised that women driving development is a nation building imperative. We have known for a long time that mothers have different journeys as a cohort to financial autonomy and entrepreneurship. Which is why we believe the Mompreneurs program to be a critical initiative, especially since it’s the first of its kind where so many stakeholders have come together to support Mom Entrepreneurs.”

Other new partners include Stride Ventures, WhatsApp, Ficci Flo National Wing, Aspire For Her, 94.3 Radio One, Fever FM, Gurgaon Moms, and DTC Insider. ‘Mom-run’ startups will compete to secure investment and jury members have already pledged commitments on equity grants.
 
“With Startup India joining hands with the Moms Co Mompreneurs show as a dedicated mentorship and support partner, this partnership enables us to extend our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship,” said the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade joint secretary Manmeet Nanda. “Holding profound significance as we delve into fostering a thriving entrepreneurial spirit among the talented Mompreneurs of our nation, shedding light on the landscape of Mompreneurs across India. Our commitment encompasses fast-tracked support for registration and recognition, personalised guidance for top startups, strategic branding, and co-authoring an insightful narrative for every Mompreneur’s journey.”
