Prestige Group opens first Forum Mall in Kochi

Real estate business Prestige Group has opened its first Forum Mall in the state of Kerala as a joint development with Thomsun Realtors. The new mall is located in Kochi, measures 6.5 lakh square foot, and was built with an investment of Rs 700 crore.

The mall opened its doors in Kochi’s Kudanoor on August 20, Kochi Next announced on Facebook. As Prestige Group’s first mall outside the Bengaluru metro area, its launch marks a significant expansion for the business. 
 
“The wait is over,” announced Prestige Group on Linkedin. “Make your way to Forum, Kochi. Quick bites, shopping, and entertainment galore.”
One of the first stores to open in the new mall is multi-brand fashion and lifestyle store Shoppers Stop which has an expansive outlet in the space. This is Shoppers Stop’s first store in Kochi, India Retailing reported. 

Other brands which have opened stores in the mall include Adidas, Aldo, snd Marks & Spencer among others and the mall also counts 25 restaurants and small food counters. To add to the facilities available, international hospitality service provider Marriot International will open a 40-room boutique hotel inside the mall’s vicinity.  
 
The mall’s operations are estimated to create around 1,500 job opportunities in the area.  Prestige Group, which now counts three malls, plans to continue to expand and open four new malls spread across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, according to its website.
