Starting from July 1, Colin Walsh will take the helm of Procter & Gamble‘s ‘Specialty Beauty’ division. This division, founded in March 2022, includes recent acquisitions such as the haircare brand Ouai, the premium skincare brand Tula, and the American brand First Aid Beauty. These labels are distributed through specialized and selective networks. Colin Walsh succeeds Chris Heiert, who is leaving the company after nearly 25 years.

Colin Walsh has been serving as the CEO of Ouai since September 2018. The haircare brand, founded in 2016 by celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin, was acquired by Procter & Gamble at the end of 2021 and integrated into the ‘Specialty Beauty’ division.

In his new role, Colin Walsh will continue to oversee Ouai, which had sales of around $50 million (45.8 million euros) in 2021.

In the third quarter of its fiscal year, Procter & Gamble generated a revenue of $20.1 billion, a 4% increase. Within the company, the beauty segment recorded sales of $3.49 billion, a 3% increase but a 5% decline at constant currency rates and on a like-for-like basis.
