New streetwear brand Nvmbr launched its maiden collection on the runway at contemporary fashion and culture event All You Can Street on June 24. The men’s and womenswear collection was titled ‘Raised by The Internet’ and featured an array of playful, Y2K style looks.
The runway show featured comedy content creator Just Sul as its showstopper who wore a matching set emblazoned with playful slogans. Other notable looks included layered denim, digital display badges, and plush, 3D appliqués.
“I chose AYCS because it felt like the perfect platform to launch my brand,” said 17 year-old brand founder Adith Gandhi in a press release. “It is flooded with new creators and up-and-coming home-grown brands and that vibe really spoke to me.”
Other Indian brands which showcased their latest designs on the All You Can Street runway included Two Point Two, Roch Studios, Lurid, Esse clothing, Allnessetc, Balav, and Erode clothing. The event drew a crowd of industry names and influencers including brand consultant Nitya Arora, internet personality Zerxes Wadia, and others including Krishen Riyat, Shruti Haasan, and Rysa Pandey.
“Not only did the fashion show provide a platform for these talented designers to gain recognition, but it also fostered a sense of pride and appreciation for Indian fashion,” announced the event organisers in a press release. “It served as a reminder of the immense talent and potential that exists within the country’s fashion industry, solidifying its place on the global stage.”
All You Can Street is the brainchild of Abhishek Gandhi and Yash Shetty and held its latest edition at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from June 23 to 25. The fashion and culture event took place across 55,000 square feet and featured 50 brands.
