Home goods and accessories business 10Club Homes aims to significantly expand its brick-and-mortar presence across India with an omni-channel approach and launch around 30 new stores in the coming two years.
“Almost 75% of the market is in physical retailing and that is why it is important for us to have a robust physical presence,” said 10Club Homes’ co-founder Kavitha Rao, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. “We, however, don’t do the furniture part. By the middle of the next year, we will reach an SKU level of 1,500 and that is a good number to reach.”
10Club Homes debuted its direct to customer e-commerce store in January this year and the business also retails on multi-brand e-commerce platforms including Flipkart and Amazon India among others. The business specialises in textile products, home décor, flowers, furnishings, and kitchen products.
10Club Homes’ co-founder Rao has held executive positions at both Ikea and Accenture. With 10Club Homes, Rao aims to offer a product range which is specifically tailored to the Indian market and the country’s bright aesthetics.
“Ikea’s designs are too Scandinavian, and 10Club Homes is trying to Indianize its home products,” said Rao. “We add a lot of colours to our products that Indians love.”
