Beauty and wellness business Yes Madam has announced that it is reducing its commission rates for its service partners. The move is designed to give beauty industry workers relief from inflation.
“We are moving towards a commission-free model soon, while we keep the profitability status intact for all our stakeholders,” said Yes Madam’s co-founder Mayank Arya, India Retailing reported. Arya added that the business hopes to encourage other beauty and wellness businesses to reduce their commission rates to give relief to workers and reinvigorate the sector.
Yes Madam works with partners on a commission model. The business has different programs which offer 20%, 15%, and 12% commission rates along with extra benefits.
Mayank Arya and Aditya Arya launched Yes Madam in 2016 to offer home salon services across India, according to the business’ website. Yes Madam now operates in over 50 Indian cities and has a workforce of around 250 employees spread across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad.
The startup business notably took part in the entrepreneurial reality television show Shark Tank India, which aired across the country. The Shark Tank judges offered the business a ‘four Shark deal’ which amounted to Rs 1.5 crore.
