“We are thrilled to be exhibiting at India Art Fair this year,” announced Boito on Facebook.
The Navagunjara is a mythical creature unique to Sarala Das’s Odia Mahabharata. To create this mighty beast, we have the privilege of collaborating with a diverse mix of artisans across the length and breadth of Odisha- made possible thanks to the wonderful support from Devi Art Foundation. A big thank you also to Desia Koraput for facilitating this project. Come and see us!”

Boito is known for its use of indigenous textiles and craft techniques, which it uses to create fusion style ready to wear. For the India Art Fair, the brand will translate this into its first large scale art installation.

The India Art Fair will hold its upcoming edition at the NSIC Grounds in New Delhi, according to its Instagram page. The event will highlight work by South Asian artists and include a showcase of 17 young designers.

Boito was founded in 2023 and retails from its direct to customer e-commerce store. The label has collaborated with a number of weaving communities in Odisha and aims to help to preserve their handloom and craft traditions.
