Textiles major Welspun Living reported a 15 percent increase in net profit to Rs 186 crore ($23 million) for the first quarter ended June 30, as against Rs 162 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 16 percent to Rs 2,536 crore, as against Rs 2,184 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Commenting on the results, Dipali Goenka, managing director CEO of Welspun Living in a statement said, “We are happy to share that the company has continued to outperform strongly and has achieved revenue of Rs 25,885 million in Q1FY25, growing at 17% YoY. This growth also comes with a sustainable EBITDA, which stood at Rs 3,935 million with margin of 15.2%, growing 15% YoY.”
“Emerging business, which are the key pillars of our growth, continued their upward trajectory, with domestic retail continuing to be the leading home textile player in India,” she added.
