Fine jewellery brand Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers has launched a new bridal jewellery collection to appeal to Gen Z brides for the upcoming autumn wedding season as the heritage brand evolves with India’s changing demographic of brides.

“Our bridal collection wishes to retain the richness of the tradition while also blending it with contemporary sophistication,” said Vummudi Bangaru Jewellers’ managing partner Amarendran Vummidi in a press release. “We have used diamonds, gold, coloured stones and beads to come up with this timeless collection to match the expectations and imagination of the Gen-Z brides.  Our intricate traditional design will radiate grandeur and will ensure our daughters look the best not just on their special day, but also for other pre-wedding and post-wedding ceremonies.”
 
The collection’s main pieces are four detachable necklaces of different lengths, earrings, bracelets, and an oddiyanam. The line is designed to mix contemporary trends with Indian jewellery heritage to appeal to younger brides and their extended families. 

“Every piece of jewel will be an extension of the bride’s bold and beautiful personality,” said Vummidi. “We are open to customisation based on the bride’s preferences, if need be.” 
 
Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers was established in 1900 and has catered to over six generations of jewellery buyers. The South Indian brand retails from its two showrooms in Chennai. The brand also has websites for both its jewellery and silverware lines.
