Veekayem Fashion and Apparel sees profits rise in FY25 H1

Textiles business Veekayem Fashion and Apparel saw its profits increase in double digits during the first half of the 2025 financial year. The Mumbai based business also saw its income decline year on year during the period.

Veekayem Fashion and Apparel’s total income for the period ranging from April to September 2024 was $14.35 million compared to $17.48 million for the first half of the 2023 financial year, Apparel Resources reported. The drop of 17.9% year on year however did not have an adverse effect on its profits and the business reported 20% year on year growth during the same time period. 

For the first half of the 2025 fiscal year, Veekayem Fashion and Apparel’s net profits totalled $314,000, up from $289,000 in the first half of the previous financial year, Fashion Value Chain reported. The business operates in the apparel, suiting, shirting, home furnishing, and yarn sectors and its products range from denim and t-shirts to jackets and accessories among others. 

Veekayem Fashion and Apparel is listed on the National Stock Exchange and was established in 1985 by entrepreneur Krishankant Gupta, according to its website. The business diversified from just textiles into textiles and garments in 2009 and its factory produces garments for men, women, and children with its clients including brands such as Pantaloons, Siyaram’s, Blackberry’s, Raymond, Excalibur, Indian Terrain, Arrow, and Peter England among others.
