This season, Varun Bahl used R|Elan eco-friendly fabrics to render his botanical occasion wear collections in a sustainable manner, the brand announced in a press release. Floaty sheer textile layers added movement to women’s gowns while menswear mixed traditional silhouettes with a relaxed and delicate aesthetic.

“I have always believed that sustainability is the future of fashion, and it is my great pleasure to have associated with RIElan, for Lakmé Fashion Week in Partnership with FDCI, this season,” said Bahl in a press release. “With the use of sustainable fabrics from RIElan, we have created an absolute one-of-a-kind festive collection, and I am sure that the presentation piqued interest for the audiences that witnessed the collection live.”

Notable looks in the collection included a lehenga blouse completely made of floral and appliqués and tiered gowns with sparkling petals. For men, sherwanis with textured botanical embroidery were paired with fluid-fit trousers.

“Varun Bahl’s ‘Inner Bloom’ collection, in partnership with R|ElanTM, is a celebration of nature’s timeless beauty, seamlessly woven into the fabric of sustainable fashion,” said Reliance Industries’ sector head of polyester Hemant D. Sharma. “With intricate craftsmanship and eco-conscious materials, this collection embodies our shared commitment to a more beautiful and sustainable world. Reliance Industries Limited remains steadfast in its dedication to promoting sustainability and circularity concepts throughout the fashion industry, setting new standards for a brighter, more environmentally conscious future. We proactively scan the desires of fashion consumers to create products that not only align with their values but also bring delight to their faces, fostering a deeper connection between fashion, sustainability, and joy.”
