Uppercase to showcase ‘Made in India’ designs during New York Fashion Week

Indian luggage and accessories brand Uppercase will showcase ‘Made in India’ designs to a global audience with its first showcase during New York Fashion Week in the US, scheduled to take place on February 6, 2025. 

“This is a moment of great pride, not only for our brand but for India as a whole,” said Uppercase’s founder and managing director Sudip Ghose in a press release. “We’re excited to take our message of sustainable innovation to a global stage. uppercase believes in creating designs that not only serve a functional purpose but also promote a more conscious way of living. Our mission is to bring together eco-friendly solutions and classic design, and this milestone is a powerful affirmation of that commitment.”

The Uppercase runway show will take place as part of New York Fashion Week’s ‘Fall/Winter 2025’ edition which will run from February 5 to 9 at Sony Hall in New York. The brand will participate in the event’s ‘Made in India’ showcase which features numerous desi labels which focus on sustainable production. 

Uppercase’s brand aim is to empower “conscious explorers.” The business became the first Indian luggage brand in 69 years to win the global Red Dot Award for its ‘Bullet’ suitcase and plans to use its products to advocate for a more sustainable future for the travel industry.
