Luggage and accessories brand Uppercase plans to reach a brick-and-mortar store total of 100 by the 2027 financial year, up from its current total of six, to connect with shoppers across India. The Mumbai-based brand aims to tap into India’s booming luggage and bag market.
“Looking ahead to the financial year FY27, our goal is to reach a milestone of 100 stores,” Uppercase’s founder Sudip Ghose told India Retailing. “This expansion will target a balanced mix of Tier 1, Tier 2, and select Tier 3 cities, strengthening our presence in urban hubs while tapping into high-growth areas across India.”
The brand aims to open between 30 and 35 stores by the end of the current financial year to expand its offline retail network. Along with its exclusive brand outlets, Uppercase is also present in general trade stores in over 650 Indian cities.
“Looking ahead, our vision is to grow significantly, targeting Rs 250 crore in the next two years, with the goal of reaching Rs 500 crore in the near future,” said Ghose. The brand reported a turnover of Rs 100 crore in the 2024 fiscal year.
Along with increasing its store count, Uppercase plans to continue to build on its commitment to sustainability and recycling. The business also plans to double its monthly production to up to between 60,000 and 75,000 units each month.
