Sustainable luggage brand Uppercase has opened its first exclusive brand outlet in Kolkata to connect with the West Bengal city’s shoppers. Located in the city’s City Centre Salt Lake Mall in Bidhannagar, the store launched with musician and author Rupam Islam.
“As someone who shares a deep connection with Kolkata, opening a store in this dynamic city is a truly special moment for me,” said Uppercase’s CEO Sudip Ghose in a press release. “This isn’t just about offering high-quality, eco-friendly travel gear- it’s about encouraging a lifestyle that embraces sustainability. Through this store, we hope to inspire our customers to make thoughtful and responsible travel choices.”
The new Uppercase store is designed to offer an engaging shopping experience and highlights its eco-friendly travel solutions. Uppercase is expanding its brick-and-mortar footprint across India and also counts stores in Mumbai, Gurgaon, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad. The brand aims to establish 100 exclusive brand outlets across India in the coming two years and increase its 1,600 points of sale across India to 4000 points of sale in the coming years.
