Uniqlo expands basics, launches ‘Airism’ line in India

Japanese apparel and lifestyle brand Uniqlo has expanded its basics selection in India and launched its ‘Airism’ line of t-shirts on its direct to customer e-commerce store and in its brick-and-mortar outlets across the country. The collection is designed to protect against UV rays and the effects of hot weather.

Enjoy the sunshine while safeguarding your skin from harmful UV rays with Uniqlo’s range of UV protection apparel,” announced the brand on its India Facebook page. The collection caters to men and women and features a selection of long and short sleeve t-shirts in a mix of bright and neutral tones.
 
The garments are complemented by a range of inner wear and their 7% silk textiles have a deodorising quality to combat sweat in hot weather. The collection is part of Uniqlo’s ‘Life Wear’ line which is designed to offer versatile, high performance apparel to enhance everyday life.
 
Uniqlo also recently launched its collaborative collection with designer JW Anderson in the Indian market, the brand announced on Facebook. The collection has a modern, paired down style and translates JW Anderson’s tailoring for the mass market. The brand also recently released a linen apparel collection in collaboration with Katrina Kaif designed to mix breathability with versatility.
