Valentino welcomes new leaders as Vannetti departs – Valentino

In March 2020, Vannetti became part of Valentino’s team, where he held a significant role leading different areas, including the entertainment industry, press office, events, graphic department, production, archive, media plan, social media, and digital marketing.

Before joining Valentino, he served as Gucci’s worldwide communications director from January 2015 to September 2019. Prior to that, he gained experience at esteemed fashion houses such as the Ermenegildo Zegna Group and Prada.

Within the new organization, Laurent Bergamo will take on the role of chief commercial officer, where he will be responsible for coordinating the brand’s commercial strategy across all Valentino’s geographic areas. He will also extend his responsibilities to the eastern markets.

Bergamo was made responsible of Valentino’s operations in the Americas in 2020 and was previously responsible for the Middle East market. Following a stint at Furla, Bergamo spent 14 years working for Tod’s, and went on to join Valentino in 2018.

Next, Andrea Cappi was appointed chief e-commerce and omnichannel officer, in a newly established dedicated business unit. Cappi’s task will be to strengthen the brand’s digital presence, leading the growth of the e-store, online markets, and third-party concessions. Cappi, who will assume the new role on September 11, brings his experiences from Accenture, Crif, Yoox, Liu Jo, and Max Mara.

Lastly, the brand has promoted Yigit Turhan, its current director of brand strategy, to chief marketing officer, effective July 25. In this position, he will lead the growth and evolution of multichannel branding activities, to continue elevating the brand. He has previously worked for luxury brands such as Ermenegildo Zegna and Gucci.

The three new top managers will report directly to Jacopo Venturini, chief executive officer.
