“The mission is simple: to save,” Two Extra Lives’ founder Anchal Notani told Vogue India. “Our innovative rental model encourages less consumption and disrupts the cycle of overindulgence.”

The store aims to blur the line between a retail outlet and a museum by showcasing handmade and rare designs, each with their own story. The store also has a curated selection of music and fragrance with the goal of creating an immersive atmosphere. Notani designed the store’s interior to fit with the bungalow’s 150 year heritage and create a relaxing space.

“From a century-old Native American leather belt sourced from Anna, a collector in Barcelona, to Melisa Minca’s inventive shirt-skirt, and Agustina Ros’s hand-blown glass necklace, each piece in our store is one-of-a-kind,” said Notani.

Second hand pieces and handmade items are displayed together in the store with brands including Exit, Miista, Western Affair, and Behen Studio featuring among others. The store aims to promote circular fashion and also plays host to events such as live music, according to its Instagram page.
