Textiles major Trident Ltd reported a 56 percent decline in net profit to Rs 57 crore ($7 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 130 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 7 percent to Rs 1,682 crore, as against Rs 1.573 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The company’s yarn and towel businesses contributed Rs 902 crore and Rs 575 crore respectively to its overall revenue.
Revenue from the bedsheets segment for the quarter stood at Rs 303 crore.
During the financial year 2024, the company’s net profit grew 21 percent year-on-year to Rs 349 crore on a revenue of Rs 6,809 crore.
The Punjab-based Trident is one of the largest players in the home textile space in India. It currently has around 400 points-of-sales across the country.
