Titan Company plans large scale retail expansion for Taneira, Tanishq, will launch new brand ‘Earth’

Titan Company launched a Tanishq jewellery shop, Taneira ethnic wear shop, and Helios watch shop in Pondy Bazar, Chennai on June 19. The Tata Group business has a large-scale retail expansion plan for this year and will also launch women’s handbag label ‘Earth’ in 2024.

“Tanishq is a 25-year-old jewellery brand,” said Titan Company’s managing director C K Venkataraman at the opening of the Taneira, Tanishq, and Helios stores, India Retailing reported. “Our first store was launched in Cathedral Road, Chennai… Taniera is our fourth showroom in Chennai and Tanishq is the 20th showroom in Chennai.”

The Taneira store retails women’s ethnic and occasion wear including sarees, lehengas and kurta sets and caters to weddings, celebrations, and festivities. Tanishq’s new Chennai address retails both heavy and lightweight fine jewellery in traditional and fusion styles while Helios houses a multi-brand selection of premium timepieces.

Earth will debut this calendar year with a range of handbags, according to Venkataraman. The business will also open between 40 and 45 brick-and-mortar stores each for Taneira and Tanishq this year.
