The Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) is gearing up for its next edition. Organized at its usual location, the Bella Center on the outskirts of Copenhagen, the 63rd edition of the Scandinavian professional fashion fair will take place from August 7 to 9.

Since CIFF announced the acquisition of its competitor Revolver in January 2023, the two fashion fairs have been unified under the global umbrella of CIFF with the slogan “One Copenhagen.” The upcoming summer edition will mark the third joint edition of the events, indicating that the initial transition phase of the merger should progress towards a more defined and consolidated positioning and strategy.

“Denmark is a small country with global ambitions. What we lack in size, we make up for in innovation, allowing us to quickly adapt to a changing world and continue to provide the industry with first-class infrastructure, incredible local talent, and a natural Danish affinity for design and openness,” said the fair’s director, Sofie Dolva, with the announcement of the upcoming edition.

Dolva, appointed in 2022, emphasized that the country’s history and culture have been shaped by its unique geography “as a gateway between Scandinavia and the rest of Europe and a crossroads for trade.” For Dolva, this character “remains at the heart of our vision as we collaborate with friends and partners from around the world, with Copenhagen at the center.”

As is customary in the Danish fashion events calendar, CIFF will be held in parallel with Copenhagen Fashion Week. The Danish fashion week will take place from August 5 to 9, featuring a packed schedule of events and runway shows with the participation of 46 brands, including notable names like Gestuz, Henrik Vibskov, Marimekko, Munthe, Remain, Rotate, Saks Potts, Stine Goya, and The Garment.

In its last edition, held from January 31 to February 2, CIFF featured 1,000 brands and over 20,000 attendees, with 60% of registered visitors coming from abroad. Recently, the Danish event has maintained its alliance with the Florentine fair Pitti Uomo and forged synergies with the American CFDA to showcase sustainable Danish brands across the Atlantic.
