Direct to customer brand The Kaftan Company has forayed into offline retail and launched its first brick-and-mortar store in Hyderabad. Located in the city’s Banjara Hills neighbourhood, the exclusive brand outlet measures 770 square feet.
“Opening our first physical store is a natural progression for The Kaftan Company as we continue to grow and meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said The Kaftan Company’s co-founders Prakruti Gupta Rao and Navin S Rao in a press release. “Over the past years, our customers have expressed numerous requests for an offline store where they can physically experience our products. This store is our commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and redefining fashion wear in India.”
The store was inaugurated with guest of honour Priya Rajiv Mohan, a wellness coach, author, and image consultant. Designed to offer a personalised shopping experience, the store retails kaftans for the whole family as well as a collection of lounge wear for men and women.
“I am very glad that finally, The Kaftan Company is here in physical store format,” said Priya Rajiv Mohan. “I personally love Kaftans for their free-flowing style and love to wear them. At TKC, I love the quality of fabrics, design, and style the company offers, and I look forward to a pleasant shopping experience. I wish the team all the very best for their new venture.”
Following the launch of its first offline store, The Kaftan Company plans to establish a presence in every major metro city across India in the coming two to three years. The brand has reported a 60% customer retention rate and is also eyeing international expansion.
