Apparel brand The Indian Garage Co, also known as TIGC, plans to launch 100 brick-and-mortar stores in the coming two years. The direct to customer label also has its sights set on global expansion to boost growth.
The Indian Garage Co plans to open its stores with a company owned, company operated model, the business’ founder and CEO Anant Tanted told ET Retail. The business later plans to explore a franchise model for further expansion. Franchise store launches remove the need for large investments from the business itself, enabling brands to widen their reach swiftly and without significant capital expenditure.
Aiming for stable growth and profitability in the medium term, The Indian Garage Co plans to launch in international locations in the future. Along with widening its exclusive brand outlet network, the brand also plans to widen its product selection and add more categories to its offering.
The Bengaluru based label recently won the ‘Meteoric Growth’ award at the Myntra Tech Threads 2024 event. “This win is more than just an award; it’s the realisation of a dream deeply cherished by our founder, Anant Tanted and the entire team,” The Indian Garage Co announced on Facebook. “To our incredible team, this is a celebration of your passion, relentless hard work, and unwavering commitment. Our journey has just begun, and this recognition fuels us to dream bigger and aim higher.”
The Indian Garage Co specialises in men’s casual wear. For its latest apparel collection, the brand took its inspiration from the world of basketball with a range of graphic t-shirts and baggy separates.
