The Indian Garage Co makes offline debut in Bengaluru, plans up to 100 store launches in three to five years

Apparel brand The Indian Garage Co opened its first ever brick-and-mortar store in Bengaluru on October 13, located on the metro’s Brigade Road. The brand plans to swiftly expand its offline footprint across India and launch up to 100 stores in the country in the coming three to five years.

“Bengaluru, you’ve been absolutely amazing,” announced The Indian Garage Co on Facebook after the store launch. “The overwhelming love and support you showed at The Indian Garage’s first store launch on Brigade Road has truly left us speechless. We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout, and we’re so grateful for your excitement and patience throughout the event. Here’s to many more milestones together! Thank you, Bengaluru!”
 
The store measures approximately 3,000 square feet and retails a wide selection of youthful apparel. Along with its signature menswear line, the new store has dedicated segments for its plus size collection ‘HardSoda’ and its womenswear line ‘FreeHand.’
 
“We spent about 10 years making the right moves in the market as an e-commerce, direct-to-consumer brand,” said The Indian Garage Co’s head of retail Alka Dembla, India retailing reported. “Today, we are already a Rs 400 crore brand and I believe now is the ideal time for us to enter the offline space.”
 
The Indian Garage Co plans to continue to expand its product offering and launch an accessories line in the near future. The brand also aims to reach a total of between 10 and 15 brick-and-mortar stores by March 2025 and then between 80 and 100 in the coming three to five years.
