Sussanne Khan’s luxury interior and lifestyle brand The Charcoal Project has launched its second retail outlet in India and first in Hyderabad, spanning 35,000 square feet. Created in collaboration with Electronics Mart India Limited, the store spans 35,000 square feet and offers six storeys of premium home labels.
“After 14 incredible years of crafting story-rich interiors, I found my true calling two years ago- to create something exceptional,” said Sussanne Khan in a press release. “With an amazing team of gladiators, I am thrilled to unveil The Charcoal Project, Hyderabad! This space is a celebration of design at its finest- featuring unique works, limited-edition furniture, objects of curiosity, and a curated collection of fine art by talented artists. We can’t wait to welcome you into this world of creativity.”
An entire floor of the store is dedicated to Gauri Khan Designs, marking a collaboration between Sussanne Khan and the brand’s eponymous founder Gauri Khan. Mixing traditional Indian elements with contemporary motifs, Khan’s collection includes a wide selection of home textiles.
“Bringing Gauri Khan Designs to Hyderabad through this collaboration is an exciting milestone,” said Gauri Khan. “The label has always stood for refined luxury, timeless aesthetics, and bespoke craftsmanship. I’m delighted to showcase our signature collection of art, artefacts, home linen, decor and furniture in a space that champions creativity and innovation.”
The store also has a segment dedicated to the exclusive Sussanne Khan x Janavi collection, which aims to use home decor as a storytelling device. “Sussanne Khan x Janavi is a collaboration that transcends decor- it is an expression of lifestyle, wherein the craft brings depth, texture, and story into the spaces we call home,” said Janavi’s Jyotika Jhalani.
