TechnoSport launches first flagship store in Coimbatore

Activewear brand TechnoSport has opened its first flagship store in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu in the city’s R S Puram. The launch is part of the brand’s plan to open between 15 and 16 new flagship stores in the 2025 financial year.

“We are elated to launch our first flagship store in Coimbatore, which has always been a key city for TechnoSport’s growth,” said TechnoSport’s co-founder Sunil Jhunjhunwala in a press release. “This store will be the cornerstone of our wider business expansion plan. We intend to establish a greater brand presence by providing consumers a holistic experience of the brand thereby laying a strong foundation for long-term growth.”
 
The new store houses TechnoSport’s full range of performance wear and athleisure and highlights its products’ technological features through design and informative graphics. The brand chose Tamil Nadu for the location of its flagship store due to its strong presence in general trade, direct to customer, and online marketplaces.
 
“We expect our exclusive stores to be the main force behind sales growth and brand presence,” said TechnoSport’s co-founder and director Sumit Santhalia. “With premium hands-on shopping experiences, we are apprehensive that these new stores will engage customers more and develop loyalty towards the brand.”
 
TechnoSport plans to increase its brick-and-mortar presence across the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The label will do this by launching a mix of flagship outlets, high-street and mall stores, and shop-in-shops at sports destinations.
 
 “Apart from the business perspective, we aim to showcase a larger-than-life experience of our products to consumers,” said TechnoSport’s CEO Puspen Maity. “Our exclusive stores not only help us to build the brand in the long run but to provide a real, hands-on experience which is important for an athleisure brand. Using this we will strengthen our omni-channel presence by amalgamating online with offline medium effectively.”
