Tarun Tahiliani names Bhagyajit Singh Rekhi as new retail head

Couture and luxury occasion wear brand Tarun Tahiliani has named Bhagyajit Singh Rekhi as its new head of retail. The executive joins the label following a seven year stint at retail business Bestseller India and has 11 years of experience in the wider fashion and lifestyle retail industry.

“I am delighted to share that I have accepted the position of head of retail at Tarun Tahiliani,” wrote Bhagyajit Singh Rekhi on Linkedin. In his new role, Rekhi will lead Tarun Tahiliani’s retail operations, drive retail sales growth, and boost customer experience among other tasks.
 
“I am super excited to join Tarun Tahiliani,” Rekhi told India Retailing about his appointment. “I am eager to leverage my background skills to contribute towards impeccable client service and help drive the company’s success.”
 
Rekhi has worked for a number of international businesses including Bata India and Adidas. As Tarun Tahiliani counts retail stores in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, Rekhi’s work will span India.
 
“My objectives are very clear, bring in operational excellence to serve consumers better, bring profitability for the sustainability of the organisation and the stores, develop and groom staff into leaders so that they help organisation and themselves grow,” wrote Bhagyajit Singh Rekhi on Linkedin about his general objectives.
