Swadesh by Reliance Retail partners with Falguni Shane Peacock

Reliance Retail’s artisan crafts and ethnic products retail format Swadesh has joined forces with luxury fashion brand Falguni Shane Peacock. The enterprises plan to collaborate on artisan crafts as Swadesh continues to strengthen its connections to Indian luxury brands.

“The collaboration may evolve into a deeper strategic partnership in the near future,” an executive source close to the development told ET Bureau. Reliance Retail is in the process of expanding its Swadesh retail concept which it first debuted offline in 2023, Livemint reported. Swadesh launched a 20,000 square foot store in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills and has future plans to launch Swadesh stores in global locations such as the US and Europe, the Times of India reported.
 
Swadesh operates brick-and-mortar stores in Mumbai and Hyderabad and retails fusion style clothing, jewellery, home décor goods, and traditional style handicrafts among other products. The business has also partnered with designer labels including Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, and Satya Paul.
 
Falguni Shane Peacock has created couture for the past 18 years, according to its website. The label specialises in dramatic occasion wear and also runs its own magazine The Peacock Magazine. Along with its direct to customer e-commerce store, Falguni Shane Peacock has flagship outlets in Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
