Skechers, a performance and lifestyle brand has entered the cricket footwear market with the launch of its new collection in India.
The collection includes Skechers cricket elite with 11 metal spikes and Skechers cricket blade with seven metal spikes designed to improve performance, comfort, and agility on the field.
The newly launched cricket collection will be endorsed by cricketers Ishan Kishan and Yastika Bhatia.
Commenting on the launch, Rahul Vira, CEO of Skechers Asia in a statement said, “The first-ever Skechers cricket footwear collection delivers on our commitment to innovate with shoes that truly meet the demands of this vibrant sport. We’re proud to begin this journey in India with a collection that will empower cricketers across all levels to perform at their best with our cutting-edge footwear.”
David Weinberg, chief operating officer of Skechers added, “The cricket-loving nation of India serves as the ideal launchpad for this innovative collection of high-performance cricket shoes tailored to the unique demands of the sport.”
Skechers retails in India through its e-commerce store and retail outlets across the country. The brand plans to expand its portfolio by launching basketball footwear in India soon.
