While the much-coveted ANDAM award also announced that Paris fashion house AMI would become an official sponsor, 12 years after its founder Alexandre Mattiussi won the actual prize.

All told, ANDAM awards five different categories of prizes – ANDAM Grand Prize, Special Prize, Pierre Bergé Prize, Fashion Accessories Prize and Fashion Innovation Prize – with total prize money of €700,000.

ANDAM will announce the jury’s membership in February, and the finalists selected by the jury will be announced at the end of May. The prize ceremony will take place on Monday, June 30.

In an impressive career, Toledano has been the CEO of Dior for two decades and then the president of LVMH fashion group – overseeing the likes of Celine, Kenzo, Givenchy and Pucci. He officially relinquished that position in January 2024, handing over the reins to Michael Burke, before suddenly regaining much control, after Burke took a back seat for personal reasons.

Toledano is also the president of the IFM, Paris’ leading fashion and luxury management college.

“Continuing my commitment as IFM president to support the training of the future professionals in the fashion industry, I will be very happy to support the upcoming. winners of the ANDAM Grand Prize and Special Prize and to share with them my passion and my experience which, I hope, will contribute to the development of their creative business,”said Toledano, in a release.

That said, Toledano’s appointment will rise eyebrows, since the creation of LVMH Prize for young designers a decade ago was regarded by many as a power play in rivalry to the independent ANDAM awards.

AMI joins an impressive list of ANDAM sponsors, alongside: Balenciaga, Bureau Betak, Chanel, Chloé, Les Galeries Lafayette, Hermès, Instagram, Kering, Google France, Lacoste, LVMH and Swarovski. As well as the French ministry of Culture and DEFI (Committee for the Promotion and Development of the French Fashion Industry), as historical public partners.

“It is with great pride that we join ANDAM this year as an official partner and mentor of the Pierre Bergé Prize. Twelve years ago, AMI won the ANDAM Grand Prize; a prize that changed my life and the history of the house. I am, therefore, very honored to be alongside Nathalie Dufour and ANDAM’s historical partners to support the French and international young creation,” said Mattiussi.

Founded in 1989 by Dufour and chaired by Guillaume Houzé, an ANDAM sponsor as board member of the Galeries Lafayette group, ANDAM is a highly reputed award in French fashion and luxury, helping to nurture and sustain the creativity that the luxury industry needs to thrive.
