Shopsy ventures into children’s wear category for growth

Flipkart’s value fashion and lifestyle shopping platform Shopsy has turned its focus to children’s wear to fuel its next round of growth. The business has launched an extensive summer collection across 100 verticals with prices beginning at Rs 25.

“We understand the challenges in Indian households where kids outgrow their clothes and demand new toys each season,” said Shopsy’s head Kapil Thirani, India Retailing reported. “We are taking this challenge head on by onboarding sellers offering a large variety at attractive prices, so that these changing needs don’t hurt the pocket.”
 
By onboarding new children’s wear sellers, Shopsy aims to offer a more diverse selection of products to appeal to wider audiences. Shopsy’s children’s summer collection includes ethnic wear priced from 129, dresses from Rs 150, and toys from Rs 49 among others. The business is also offering free shipping on customer orders to boost sales.
 
Shopsy retails from its mobile shopping app and offers more than 10 lakh products priced at under Rs 99, according to its website. The value platform features more than 15 crore listings and has numerous products priced under Rs 45. The Shopsy app offers delivery in seven working days and works with over one lakh apparel, accessories, and electronics suppliers.
