Multi-brand fashion and beauty retailer Shoppers Stop plans to launch Armani fragrance and beauty products across India with an omni-channel approach. The roll out is part of the business’ increasing focus on beauty.
“In the next two to four months, we will be opening two Armani boutiques in cities like Mumbai and Delhi and we will further open five to six shop-in-shops by December in beauty stores in Shoppers Stop, SS Beauty, Tira, Nykaa, and Sephora,” Shoppers Stop’s CEO of beauty Biju Kassim told ET Retail. “The boutique will offer all facets of the brand- fragrance, makeup, and skincare and that is how we plan to replicate in shop-in-shops as well.”
Shoppers Stop is increasing its focus on beauty to tap into the fast growing market in India. The business plans to launch between 25 and 30 new points of sale for SS Beauty each year moving forward to add to its current total of 14 beauty boutiques.
The average store size for an SS Beauty store is between 1,600 and 2,000 square feet, housing around 100 to 120 Indian and international beauty brands. The largest SS Beauty stores are located in Kolkata at 9,000 square feet and in Bengaluru, measuring 3,400 square feet, the Economic Times reported.
The business plans to open more large scale segments for SS Beauty in the near future. A 5,000 square foot space dedicated to beauty is set to launch in Shoppers Stop in Malad and a 10,000 square foot space will open at Shoppers Stop in Juhu, Mumbai.
