Shopdeck raises $8 million from Bessemer, others (#1682172)

Direct-to-consumer (D2C) enabling startup Shopdeck has raised $8 million (Rs 68 crore) in its series B funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The funding round also saw participation from Elevation Capital, General Catalyst, and Chiratae Ventures.

The company plans to use the latest infusion to expand its product offerings, hiring, marketing and technology development.

Commenting on the investment, Anant Vidur Puri, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners in a statement said, “Their profitability-first approach positions them as a game-changer in enabling small merchants to succeed in the digital economy.”

Rishabh Verma, co-founder of Shopdeck added, “Our goal is to help merchants scale sustainably, with many achieving INR 10 crore in annual revenue within two years.”

Shopdeck was founded in 2022 by WMall’s founders Verma and Harmin Shah after the ecommerce marketplace’s shutdown. It provides full-stack services for brands trying to manage their D2C space.

Shopdeck claims to have partnered with more than 1,000 brands enabling close to $150 million in annual sales across sellers.
