Shiseido Group brand Nars Cosmetics aims to enter the top three Indian luxury beauty brands. Seeing string growth opportunities in the Indian beauty market, Nars Cosmetics plans to double its retail presence in the country over the coming two years.

Nars Cosmetics opened a total of 15 retail touch-points last year and, so far this year it has doubled its total to 30, the Shiseido India’s country head Sanjay Sharma told ET Retail. The business plans to continue to open around 15 sales points each year to reach a total of 60 in the next two years.
 
Nars Cosmetics launched in the Indian market last year in response to the growing consumer demand for international premium beauty brands. In the coming three to five years, the brand aims to greatly increase its brand visibility in the country to become one of its top three luxury beauty brands.
 
Nars Cosmetics retails a wide range of colour cosmetics products ranging from lipsticks and lipglosses to eyeshadows, eyeliners, and bronzers. The brand also retails foundations, setting powders and concealers in its signature black packaging. Along with its brick-and-mortar sales points, Nars Cosmetics retails online in India with multi-brand platforms including Sephora India, Flipkart, Amazon India, and Shoppers Stop’s SS Beauty among others.
