Cricket team the Sharjah Warriorz has launched its first non-playing ‘athleisure kit’ with its owner, Indian sports business Capri Sports, as the team aims to take an innovative approach to fashion.
“This is one of the most unique kits that we have come across and it’s fun to have this kind of gear,” said the team’s captain Tim Southee in a press release. “It has been very smartly designed, displaying the Warriorz spirit and the vision of inclusivity, giving the Sharjah Warriorz an added element of style in UAE. Furthermore, it adds to our connection with the region we represent, which is always important for a franchise.”
The kit is designed to establish the reputation of the Sharjah Warriorz as trendsetters as the team launches its ILT20 Season 3 campaign. The clothing’s design aims to promote gender inclusivity and has a striking yellow and purple colour scheme. Along with the non-playing kit, a selection of t-shirts, caps, and hats is also available.
Capri Sports is based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and its business is part of Capri Global Holding’s portfolio. Along with its ‘Sports Venture’ business, the company also counts a ‘Non-Banking Financial Company’ and ‘Housing Finance Company.’ Some of the business’ high-growth segments include its gold loans, construction finance, and micro, small, and medium enterprise loans.
