About Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput tied the knot through an arranged marriage setup on July 17, 2015. A year later, they became parents to their daughter, Misha Kapoor. In 2018, their second child, a son named Zain, was born.

Mira has played a crucial part in advising Shahid Kapoor on important career decisions. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Shahid revealed that it was Mira who encouraged him to accept the role in Kabir Singh. Shahid recalled that he and Mira were watching Arjun Reddy together because filmmakers were contemplating a Hindi remake and wanted to know his interest. Initially hesitant, Shahid had reservations about remakes, but he eventually found Kabir Singh to be an incredibly compelling film.

Shahid said that his wife gazed at him for five minutes and then just said, “Just shut up and do it. It’s the perfect film for you.” Mira’s reasoning was straightforward, explaining, “People love to see you in love stories, and people love to see you in messed-up characters; this has both, just do it.” The Jersey actor acknowledged that he had made the decision more complicated than necessary and, in the end, saw the value in accepting the role of Kabir Singh. The movie, which came out in 2019, also starred Kiara Advani.
